Here are a couple of shots from Wiki that describe the Triple Divide Peak in Glacier National Park.
I needed the Wiki info to show the geographical significance. At the peak, water flows either to the Pacific, or to Hudson Bay or to the Gulf of America. Enjoy.

It's beautiful, and significant Snags.

Have you been there? It can't be much more than a days drive from you??? (Maybe two?) 😀

The whole park is something to see. The wheat fields to the east are unexpected.

The wife and I have reservations for driving "Going to the sun Road" in July. Taken the truck and our travel trailer for a 2 week trip in the area.
Been to Glacier to drive the road (prior to the reservation system) and it was snowed in both times!

Going to the Sun Road is awesome, finally got to drive the entire stretch a few months ago. The first time a couple years ago, it was only open half way due to construction. Made sure I irritated the wife by blaring the Shining opening theme music while driving past Saint Mary Lake.

It’s a 4 hour drive from Cranbrook plus any waiting time at the border. My buddy Dave and I drove the “Going to the Sun Road” two years ago in his SL 350 and I posted some photos. If you search it, there is a tip on how to get through without a reservation. In short, drive through the west gate before 6:00 AM, then have the buffet breakfast at the McDonald hotel while waiting for the sun to rise. 😉 I suppose if the Ranger catches you without a tag you might have some Splaining to do.

My favorite NatPark in the lower 48s (minus the Cali parks - I have yet to go to Yosemite.) It was so breath taking the first time there. Think of how fast you can sled down that slope!

Park admission or the lack thereof (before 6 a.m.) no longer gets you on the road without a reservation. Yes-they check.
There is always a "hack" until someone posts it-then it's no longer valid. Or it would be a zoo up on the road at 6a.m.
