As the thread title implies I gave it a whirl. Mostly because they had some good deals. I ordered 4 jumbo russet potatoes, 4 lemons, 5 limes, 2 pkgs sausage links, 12 oz frozen edamame, 2 fabreeze air freshener, 1 lb whole carrots and 36 double rolls of Scott Ultra Soft TP. The quality of all the produce was excellent. The frozen items arrived frozen and had a frozen water bottle in each insulated bag. All of this goodness arrived for $37 with tax delivered to my door in about 5 hours. Not bad for free delivery.

Yes, I realize this is a come-on in this area with the excellent prices, to kick off new services recently added. they have added a major Amazon logistic center in the town I live in. They also have 4 or 5 more facilities in the KC area. Will try it again and we'll see if the quality holds up. Impressed!

Heard this week that KC is the next area to get drone delivery service. That should be fun. They might get shot at around here.

I tried the sausage links and they were very good.

We have a Whole Foods store just 4 miles from the house. The only time I go there is to return an Amazon package. they are the most expensive grocery store in our area.

Do they deliver tilapia?

I like that Whole Foods has some great deals and don't overcharge for products most stores don't carry. That said Amazon itself might mean China tilapia and other morsels.

Amazon does everything now I see haha. I’ve never used Amazon anything. But my family is picky on groceries especially meat and produce so I’m not ready to try this online shopping for groceries stuff.
Like I said I gave it a shot and they hit the target. Would recommend everyone try it at least once if the service is offered in your area.

How does the cost compare with Walmart?

We order 99% of our groceries and have them delivered by Walmart.
Can't really compare as this order was highly promotional and the regular prices were not shown. The limes were a quarter. The sausage links were $1.99. Comparable store brands links at Walmart are $3.50 or so and not as tasty. The TP was 38 cents a roll. What impressed was the quality of the fresh items. Also my entire order was in stock. Never happens on my Wal mart+ orders.
