Triax Lubricants

Here are a few previous threads on this brand, some of these may have lists of other threads. There are many, many more than these.

A well known obfuscator of approvals and licenses. Some sheets claim they "meet" or are suitable for approvals that are mutually exclusive and cannot be met at the same time.

I’m looking for 90% less cam wear since Mopar are waitlisted 👀

I am searching for a quality oil for my new motorcycle and came across Triax. Who knows anything about this company? I have been using factory Kawasaki full syth 10w40 as recommended. Looking at my owners manual, looks like the 10w40 is operating right at its max recommended temp here in FL. Been contemplating moving to Mobil 1 20w50 but see that it is marketed as for V-Twin engines. Whats the difference or is it simply that the v-twins tend to run hotter? Anyhow, Stick with the Kawasaki 10w40, swap to Mobil 10w40, or 20w50, or is the Triax a better oil than those other two? Thanks for the thoughts.

I've used their gear oil for 37k so far and nothing to note. Seems to work for me. I'd try their motor oil no problem. They are using good base oils from Shell & a nice add pack.

Check their website out they having a nice sale on there products at the moment 😁
They keep sending me solicitations for Black Friday sales. I'm more than skeptical that I can get 30 quarts of 100% POA/ester 0W-40 with a HTHS of 4.6, shipped, for $5.87/qt. Part of me wants to find out.

If it’s truly 100% Synthetic PAO/Ester, then either there’s no add pack to protect your engine, or…. shocker, Triax is spreading more false advertising. Plus, they’re literally telling you that their oil is going to leave sludge in your engine!

Hard. Pass. Every. Time.

That's my plan.

I used their GL-5 80W-90 a few weeks ago in an old Toyota 7.5. Thinking about dumping it. I had no idea these guys were so shady.
