Trend Micro firewall and Windows Vista

My FIL purchased a new computer last week from our local computer store. The computer came with a trial version of Trend Micro anti-virus, which included Trend Micro's firewall.

My FIL did not want to keep the Trend Micro product, since he likes to use a program called System Suite, by Avanquest. System Suite includes it's own firewall. My FIL uninstalled Trend Micro from his new system. It's completely gone, as far as I can tell. The Windows Vista Security Center says the Trend Micro firewall is still installed. How can I remove it from Security Center?

Did he restart the machine afterwards? Maybe try CCleaner to clean up some leftover registry entries?

I was helping him with it. We restarted a few times, after installing some other unrelated software. Vista Security Center still says the Trend Micro firewall is running, even though it's long gone from the system. We have not yet run CCleaner. I may try that the next time I'm at his house.

I can't follow the instructions in the link, because Trend Micro has already been uninstalled from the computer. Thanks for the link, though.
