Is Traveller 15w40 a good choice for my 2004 Cummins ISX CM870? It has 450k miles and is new to me.I’m thinking of doing 10-12k OCI’s.Oil filter is a BD7154.

Here is a Traveller thread from a couple years ago. I would think Traveller would work just fine.

Traveller 15w40 Diesel oil has had a decent reputation over the years and was made by Warren Distrubution however now it apparently is made by Martin Lubricants. Does any of you have any info on it. I know it’s on Fordsapproved list I’m just curious about the additive package in this CJ-4 / SN...

Last voa that PQIA did of traveller 15w40 looked pretty good.
Cummins recommends Valvoline Premium Blue. My 6.7L has had nothing but Mobil Delvac since I bought it. Pick an oil that meets or exceeds the manufacturers recommendation and motor on.
