Looking forward to seeing the bad gears or synchronizers on this one.

So, what was the cause of the grind? Anything obvious?
Have the guts out of it,
Right off the bat, two straight pieces of pipe on the left are supposed to be a one piece oil feed that goes in the center of the gear cluster. Not sure how it broke in two.

This is 100% something I would have done when I was single and living in an apartment.
Taking apart the gear cluster. This looks sketchy,
but top gear and bearing came off easy.

Again.The kitchen counter
All gears removed from countershaft and teeth and bearings look and feel perfect. The problem is in the syncro parts I'll show later.
I'm waiting to see the 20 ton press. That distorted ring? Goofy deal. How do the syncro key slots look?
What year and trim level?
It's next to the balancer and in front of the blasting cabinet.
And you thought it was going to be in a bedroom. Syncro key slots look look scored and galled.

Yup the press is pretty important when it comes to manual transmissions. Good to have that tire balancer.
