Does anyone have any info on Trans Am racing? I would like to know in particular how many times a Ford Mustang has won individual races and also how many times Chevy Camaros have won individual races over the years?
I did find the annual championship winners from 1966 to 2005. Ford had won a total of 9 times, Chevy has won 15 times over the years.
Why I ask is because I'm going to a Trans Am race for the first time Sept 4th. I made the comment to co workers that I had seen a program on tv about how Ford Mustangs did not fair out that well in Trans Am due to differents things like suspension and other mechanical things. Well, one of the co workers who is a Ford fan got all ruffled for no reason. I quoted what I saw on tv and he told me that I need to watch something different because what I saw and heard was not the truth.
So if anyone knows the particulars of this I would appreciate the feedback to show the guy at work.
