Tranny leak -- Bar's stop leak

I have a small leak over the transmission though I have been on top of flushes right from the day I bought it.

Now are there any products that help prevent leaks and what has been the success story with them. I saw this Bar's transmission stop leak seal bandage and was curious if that is something worth putting into the transmission.

where is the leak coming from? is there a fairly easy gasket that can be replaced?

I am not so mechanically tuned to know any stuff on the transmission. I am assuming these products are designed to stop the leaks w/o disturbing the peace in the transmission.

what kind of vehicle is the transmission in?

It is 2000 Nissan Maxima.

If the leak is coming from the pan gasket or axle seals, I would say just get them replaced. Best solution is just to fix it either way, but if its the front pump seal(leak would be coming from area where transmission and engine mate) it could cost a bit to fix(like 5.00 for the seal, 500.00 for labor...).

I personally dont like the idea of dumping a bottle of stop leak into a transmission. If it affects the failed seal that much to make it seal up again, what is it doing to all the other rubber items in there?

As mentioned, if it's a simple to repair item, have it fixed.

No experience with Bars transmission, although their radiator stop leak is good. If I were going to use a trans stopleak it would HAVE to be TransX. Been using it for years with good results.

There are really only a few places you can have a leak on an auto tramsmission.

Pan gasket or filter (if it is a screw on type oil filter), the axle seals (one for each axle), or the front pump seal, which unfortunately requires removal of the transmission.

If oil is leaking from where the transmission meets the engine, it is the front pump seal.
