At TSC today they had a roll of 4 conductor trailer wiring with the white for ground. The white was the full 25' length. So are people bringing ground to each light rather than using the frame. My older boat trailer has 6 lights and I am thinking one will always have a ground problem as soon as I go down my drive.

For example the clearance lights are rusty stud mounted to a rusty bracket attached to the fender which is attached to a galvanized frame. Several chances there for a ground problem besides the bulb & socket.

Yes, I am aware of that. My question is are people doing that these days or continuing to use the frame as ground.
