Fixed my trailer lights. Thanks for the help.

I got under the trailer with my creeper and followed all the wiring and didn't see any problems, although I'd much rather have weather tight heat shrink on the connectors. It ended up being that they didn't connect the running light wire on that one tail light. It was just grounded to the frame. Not sure if that's bad or not, but it made that one particular running light not work.

If it re-occurs, run the grounding wires back to the connector and its grounding wire. Yes, it's a bugger and uses a lot of wire. It also eliminates several points for failure grounding to the frame.

It just has the one ground wire at the connector that's connected to the tongue. Not like on a boat trailer where they give you a separate wire for each light. Hopefully these lights will work ok. Back when I had regular lights on my boat trailer they always had problems, but since this isn't getting dunked into the water maybe I can get away without putting LED lights on this one. Most regular trailer lights are cheaply designed and don't keep the bulb tight enough in the holder.

I use liquid tape on all trailer connections and never use the type of connector that "pinches" one wire to supply power to another.
