Toyota WS replacement

I'm "new" to this thread.
I'm planning on a drain and fill in my 4Runner with Amsoil's WS-approved gallon jug. Anyone blow any Toyota's up with that stuff?

I highly doubt you will blow anything up unless you don't use the right amount of ATF or your transmission was already shot.

I have used and current am using Amsoil in my Toyota's and they are working perfect. 2009 Camry and 2015 Highlander.

Heh. Just yesterday I helped a buddy with a new-to-them 2009 Camry. It had a junkyard motor with around 125,000 on it, and the vehicle itself 275,000. among other things, mostly a long day of brakes and every other filter and fluid possible, I swapped in 3.8 qts of amsoil low viscosity flavor, and wished I’d had more on hand. I’m pretty sure the atf was original, I’ve never seen atf that looked like satin paint vs glossy.

Drain and fill will mix the Amsoil with the old WS fluid, rather do a full exchange in that case.

I got it in May of this year, and immediately got a pan drop/filter change from my mechanic. So it's been changed at least once in 65k, and the next oil change (around 70k) will be the drain and fill. Amsoil for the win! Then I'm going to leave all fluids alone till 100k (except the oil every 7k).
Yes, they were all changed in May as well with proper gear oils at the proper Toyota viscosity (Redline).

And since Toyota does NOT license their ATF's I'm betting the Aisin WS is the same as Toyota WS.

Now you're aware of another:

This is what I bought for my Sienna. I haven't had a chance to change the fluid yet though. It's not a multi-vehicle fluid; Eneos specifically says it's for WS applications and they don't list any other applications it can be used in or other specs that it meets. It's not an officially licensed fluid, but I figure that since Eneos designed the fluid specifically for WS applications and nothing else, it should work perfectly fine.

Like I posted, I know with no other fluid this labeled WS or T-IV. This fluid is label TW.

I'm 99% sure the Eneos T-W and Aisin 0WS are the same fluid. The bottles and safety data sheets are identical.

I've been using Maxlife in multiple WS spec'd Toyotas for years and all of them have way north of 100,000+ miles. Lots of hand wringing on this site about WS and I've never understood why, there is nothing amazing about this spec at all.
Best answer! I think valvoline went the extra mile on added anti wear anti shudder chemistry to pass tougher GM standards on those luxury rides such as cadillacs / rolls using the GM hydramatics and the Aisin (mostly toyota owned) copy cats: equipped for Bentley Audi Bmw Benz.
