Ahh but remember the big stacks of frames out behind every Toyota dealer. Just like the 💩98- 06 GM 1500 series. Both could fold in half with 10 years common use in the Rustbelt. At least Toyota gave you a new frame, well some of the time, sort of if you were the original owner 🤨sort of. If you missed the initial notification you had to pay big 💸for all the incidentals they lop off to replace it. GM is very straight forward and simple........🖕ðŸ¼.
Son in law had the Taco, I have the GMC. WIith the GM it's simple to make your own from the tank back, the rest is normal steel. It's a bit time consuming but in the end FAR BETTER and all it takes is a welder, plumb bob , tape measure and grinders. Not rocket science by a long shot. Taco would be easier yet just cutting replacing and adding fish plates. You gotta check any of these 21 st century trucks over carefully if they've live up North. None of them are closed to what they used to be in the half ton lineup.
