Toyota Tacoma front main seal ??? When?

Well after getting my last UOA, I'm almost certain it may be the seal.

For the last 100K I have had a high SI problem.
Part of the problem was the fact that I have a high milage truck (387K). From 300K to now, I have replaced the Valve cover Gasket, Oil pan Gasket, Air filter every 8-10K, rear main seal, EGR filter material has been replaced...
And the last two OUA seems to indicate possible FRONT MAIN SEAL.... my only conclusion because all other seal material has been replaced, and please don't anyone tell me the engine needs to be dis-assembled... well please tell me what you would think is the problem.
Never before have I had a problem with any wear material, perhaps because of a by-pass, but I'm sure that did not MASK everything... I mean even with it off, most of my numbers were in the low single digits and less, now they are on the move.

Does anyone Know when the typical Front main Seal goes on a 1997-Yacoma? How much problem is it to replace? (I.e. hours / dollars)

You have 387k you should be happy!

Just keep driving the truck and don't worry about the uoa.

We really need to see some of the UOA to get a good idea of what you are describeing. I am also woundering why you would replace a seal if it is not leaking at all. Short of a tear the main seals do not just let go. They tend to give plenty of warning in the form of oil leaks!!

used oil analysis are posted here and about 60+K of them, the rest I don't have because I only kept the ones that were getting into problems...

And for the warning, I donno, everyone was telling me to wait for it to gush oil. This is my only auto, and I have to take care of it somewhat, so I try my best as far as $$$ I can, to keep it up now with all the miles.

I just had that HUNCH from experience testing my own engine oils and having problems (lots of cars with lots of miles)and seeing what has happened to me in the last 4 millionish miles (give or take a couple hundred K), my gut for the last 18 months or so was to replace the seal and only $$$$ prevented that hunch because of all the "expert" advice. Today with all the evidence I decided to replace the crank seal... I hope it solved the problem.
