Is Toyota Oil still made by Mobil ???
Id it the Drive Clean 5000 or is it a special
blend made just for Toyota ??

If it is, then add Toyota to a long list already occupied by Honda among others. (Does this mean it wouldn't be heresy to pour Honda motor oil into a Toyota engine?) Seriously, though I'd bet its either Drive Clean 5000 or Exxon Superflow. It just doesn't make economic sense that whoever bottles these private lable oils would further dumb down a fully formulated entry-level blend that still has to meet "SM"/"GL-4" standards. The extra cost of maintaining alternate storage and blending facilities, seems to me, would outweigh any potential production cost savings. I could be wrong, though.

Consider that exxonmobil also makes east coast supertech store brand oil and that's a big client. No, they don't have to maintain seperate facilities but they could make different batches with dumbed-down ingredients for a week/month then send it off the client's warehouse. That said I agree with Ray H and bet they don't "dumb down" superflo/mobil clean bulk for the private label clients. A VOA will help you tell.

Is toyota oil in the wide-mouth bottles, per chance?
