Post the UOA is you have them.

Mobil 1 formulation purportedly has gone from"

- Majority PAO in the '90's,

- Tri Synthetic PAO/PAO/AN in the early 2k's

- Majority XHVI "VISOM" mid 2k's

to now I hear - GTL paraffins

I haven't paid too much attention about the GTL stuff. Maybe someone can correct me.

And none of those mixtures have ever been shown to thin out "just sitting there". Unless of course, he poured it in at -10*F and then drained it when it was 100*F

and I said conventional not Mobil 1.. and to subierubyroo.. you can say what you want, I've already seen the evidence of a cheaper base oil that tgmo was using. make fun all you want, my opinion still stands..

Maybe a super microbe in the oil pan ate the Mobil Clean since it IS so tasty?

Well, I think its time to let the cat out of the bag, eh Guys?

- Sorry to inform you, you were likely caught up in one of XoM clandestine, in-stitu trials of biodegradable motor oil.

Lesson?

- Don't let her sit - Let 'er RIP !

I pointed out above, and my opinion still stands, there's absolutely no reason for Toyota to obtain anything except the cheapest bidder for conventional oil, given that all the newer vehicles specify something else. They only reason they have the conventional oil there in the first place is because conventional oil changes still sell there. They're selling there because they are sufficient where specified, and people are looking to spend less, not more.
