I just bought a 2003 Camry. It has the 2AZ-FE DOHC 2.4 I4. I would like to find the OEM part number for the Toyota filter. I would also like to know some spec.'s if possable. Things like thread s,O.D.,length, and bypass setting. Thank's for the help.

Try the toyota V6 or V8 filters and see if they fit. Else, take a snapshot of installed filter and we'll guestimate on which oversized might fit.

Ya, I went to Baldwin and saw the B37 as well. Usualy they list alternatives in that same family. The 3/4-16 is promiseing but the gasket diamter and under car space is limiting I think. I have never seen a filter this small on a car before. It looks like a motorcyle or lawn tractor filter. I plan on running synthetic in it for life so it should never have to filter out any sludge. Redline 5W40 is probably going to be my oil of choice.
It seems like the OEMs are downsizing the oil filters to the smallest size they can.
Too bad, 2$ saved over the purchase price of a $20,000 car doesn't seam like much. But on the other hand, some people think all oil filters should cost less than $3/ea.

According to my local dealers web site, its part# 90915YZZA1. It's a pretty "PUNY" little thing. Does anyone out there know of a larger substitute?

........and is a much better filter and will fit your American made Camry. If your VIN number starts with a "J" your Camry was made in Japan.
You have a very nice car and engine that will service you for many years to come. I know, I use to work in a Toyota Parts/Service department and have seen thousands of Camry's. Oh, and the V6 filter works, but it's not a good idea because the seal around the filter does not seal correctly on the 4-cyl engine.
Thanks guys for the imput. Ken Thanks. Ya mine was built in Japan. The data plate in the door pillar say made in Japan. I also did not see any UAS sourced parts under the hood. My family has owned Toyota's since 1971 and we have only been to the dealer ship twice since 1971 for warranty work. I will have to order some Toyota filters for her.
I think my OEM denso filters came today. I will post my first impressions latter to day!
Well my 6 Toyota filter arived today. I am a little disapointed!! THey were the U.S. made PURADENSO now just Denso filter. I specificly asked them if they were the Japanesse filter before I ordered them. I would not have ordered them had I known they were the U.S. made filter. I am sure they will work just fine. I am going to cut it open once I change the oil again. I have six of them to use before I need any more. If Ken4 is still in overseas when I run out I will ask him to send me the ones built in Japan! I could send them back but I am sure that they are at least as good as a champion lab filer so I will use them!!!
