It is unfair to refer to it as a "lemon Toyota", when Toyota did nothing wrong in the manufacturing of the car.
The car was screwed up after it was sold to the first owner, not when they built it.
When the Hyundai dealer bought the car at auction, if it was disclosed as "remainder of factory warranty", all they should have to do is return the car to the auction with the proof, and they should get all of their money back.
However, if it was presented at auction as "no factory warranty", and the dealer tried to sell it otherwise, that's a different story.
This is not the first time where I've heard of the first owner being an idiot and getting the warranty cancelled, and the second owner getting screwed over it...
