5.5 second 0-62, 268 horsepower, 272 lb ft of torque, ability to send 100% of power to only the rear wheels or lock it at 60/40, 30/70 or 50/50 and we can’t have it in the states. I’d heavily consider one for a weekend fun car/track toy if we could get it.

Despite the fact that it’s a Yaris, it’s pretty neat.

There's actually a substantial difference between the chassis of the two. They only share head/tail light dimensions.

Perhaps. But its still a Yaris by labeling, and its likely not like a Camry in terms of interior space....
The first car from Toyota I have lusted after in almost 30 years.
We're supposed to get the GR Corolla hatch in the US. If it happens, I'll consider buying one for myself. The world has been missing exciting Toyotas for too long.

Well of course, it's a homologation of the WRC Yaris. The Civic TypeR is still a Civic as are the Lancer Evolution, Impreza WRX and GolfR; All derive from economy cars. It doesn't make them any less desirable to their fans....of which there are many.
