The 2009 Camry hybrid came with the longer Toyota filter F1 size, and of course the N1 can be put on, but it is the replacement for the shorter F2 filter. The F2 and N1 were not the original size. The N1 is even smaller than the F2.
The F1 can be bought many places and is the original size for that engine.
When someone says no I want to use the Toyota oil filters, I respect that.
Use the F1 oil filter to be true to the size it came with when new. There is no disadvantage.

I believe you can get a F1 if you go ask for it at a dealer. You likely won't find it if you just ask for "filter" - they migrated everything to the N1, which I believe has been replaced by the N2. If I have all that right. There have been many threads here if you search.

In before the lock. :ROFLMAO:

I was under the impression the F1 and F2 was superspeed by the N1. I also have a 2025 Corolla hybrid and the original filter is little longer than the N1 and always thought it was equivalent to the F1 or 2. The dealer always gave me a N1 for it.

Toyota has about 1000 part numbers for more or less the same filter - some a little longer or shorter.
