Hi.
Is Any one here have experience with iridium spark plugs in a 2001 model toyota camry with distributor less ignition 2.2L 5sfe engine instead of twin ground electrode plugs? I changed to iridium and going good so far.

I believe that the iridium type plugs allow for a better spark than platinum (more like using a standard copper plug), but provide the errosion resistance of a platinum plug for longevity.

Since I assume the 2.2L is a 4 cyl engine, and therefore should have the 4 spark plugs across the top for easy access and service, Id save the money, use good copper plugs, and change them more often.

I doubt you can do much better than a good copper plug, and the only real benefit that I know of for the other types is that they dont need to be changed as often, saving headache in squeezy v6 engine bays, etc.

Do you have a compulsive obsessive dissorder? I mean two post with this title and two posts to find out what plug to use not to be an a** ( too late ) but give it a rest please.

I think both L4 and V6 have waste spark ignition system. Also both engines comes with the dual ground plugs from the factory.any one here have an experience with iridium plugs in a v6 camry with waste spark ignition?? What was the plug's useful max life?
Cheers.

my highlander has the v6 and iridiums, 45k and so far so good; but i haven't pulled them yet.

100k+ on a set of Bosch +4 in the camry v6. I would expect the iridiums to go at least as long.
