I am going to change oil on a 2011 Camry with the 2.5 liter engine and want a list of the oils officially approved by Toyota.

Current ILSAC PCMO service category in the grade specified. They don't have higher approval than ILSAC AFAIK. Not saying this is adequate - but that's where they are. Previous Toyota internal memos announced any current API/ILSAC PCMO in the preferred grade as a "Genuine Toyota Motor Oil".

I have Pennzoil Platinum 0w-20 and Mobil Super Synthetic 0w-20 in stock. I have read online speculation that MSS is equivalent to Toyota oil.

I'm sure either of those choices will work wonderfully in your car. I don't think that MSS is any more like TGMO compared to most other off the shelf 0W20s (opposed to other car manufacturer's house blends (TGMO, MGMO, HGMO)).

One of the TGMOs...there were a lot of them, but I think that your car was built for the Mobil 1 as opposed to the previous versions.
