Have six of these from generous member EASTKYMIKE so thought I’d sacrifice one. Looks serviceable to me.

For the price point they are a decent filter. My Toyota dealer parts guy sells them for $5.97 if you buy 1 or $4.50 each if you but 2 or more.
 
Kinda difficult to tell from pic, but smoke appears white. If ash also white and no stinky burning rubber smell, likely silicone. I ask because the YZZD3 you and I previously burned tested, tested as silicone.
Yeah, I’d say it’s silicone. No stinky smell and it lit on fire easily.
 
They do have some bypass spring gap issues on some samples, similar to Fram. No way to tell if the one bought has the leak. The media has been changed on some, is a different color. The old ones were very light color.
This is common, but just today I talked to someone who had 197k on their Highlander serviced at the dealer. No issues. I know people tend to exaggerate a little on their car, but have heard this more than once.
