Toyota 4.0L 1GR-FE w/224k, M1 w/6900 miles

Many of the aftermarket air filters do not seal to the air box correctly and let dirt pass. Add in that the air intake is right above the passenger front wheel and you will get lots of dirt into or around the filter .

Super tech and wix are 2 that are too short to seal correctly.

I've tried several different brands but not those 2.

I didn't change that #14 oil & filter for a couple of more months until they had 9,100 miles.
I don't drive the vehicle as much anymore. Its been 15 mths and 5600 miles since its last change, so on a calendar basis its due.
I've got a mix in it too, 4.5 qts of SuperTech 10k synthetic 5w30, and 2 qts of Val PB "Restore" 10-30. I'm still running the xlarge Fram Ultra XG8A and a bypass system utilizing a Amsoil EaBP90.
