I emailed Lexus Canada regarding the use of 0w20 oils on older vehicles. See here https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/lexus-canada-oil-recommendation-chart.166290/ and here for the Toyota chart https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/official-toyota-oil-recommendation-chart.146907/

Lexus was kind enough to send me this information as well - again right click on image to see it larger (you may get the option to zoom that image as well).

If someone can tell me how to attach a .pdf file, this would be much easier.

So how does this answer the question: Are older Lexus vehicles, such as my 2006 RX330 with the same engine as Highlander that is approved for 0W-20, ALSO approved?

Yes that's the reason although it makes reference to the oil being "made and package in Canada by Imperial Oil Limited starting in 2010".
It's packaged in Canada but the oil is actually made by EOM and imported from the States.

It's also interesting that Toyota Canada says the Canadian OCI is 6 months/8,000 kms due to the "severe Canadian driving conditions".
Is that still the case or have they extended the recommended OCI like they have in the States to 10,000 miles?
