I have had great results with CarQuest's batteries thus far too.

Our local Menards looks to have Exide batteries at great prices, but I haven't really heard good things about them.

It's too bad that you don't have a friend or a family member that has a membership. That way you would have no need to join....of course.

Then you would need them again to access the warranty, should you have any issues with the battery.
 
The 65 series battery at AAP (GOLD) is a great battery. It is NOT the silver with a longer warranty. While Johnson Controls makes many after market batteries, they are not all the same.
