Totally blanked on my passcode this morning

Really weird too, as I actually entered it once this morning using muscle memory. But then I found there was an iPadOS (and iOS) update available. But instead of putting up a dial pad, it shows up as 1-9 and 0 in a line. Without muscle memory, I just blanked and entered the wrong one. And I use the same passcode on my iPhone and I couldn’t even remember that with the dial pad up. I kept on trying to remember what it was, and even wrote down numbers to try so that I wouldn’t waste a combination. Eventually I got it, but only after a 1, 5, 15, and 60 minute timeout. I think maybe the 7th attempt and auto lock after the 10th try.

I had kind of a weird brain fog too, but I’m feeling much clearer.

I hope you don’t mind me asking, but how old are you?

I’ve had the muscle memory thing make me pause for a second or two, but nothing like what happened to you. Pay attention to your brain fog. Hopefully you’re just coming down with something.

Old enough to have days like that. It was must weird too, as I entered it once in the morning correctly. But I suppose the important thing is that I barely think of it now. But having to enter it in a line of digits really messed me up. Before when I had that I’d think of it, but this time it really got me overthinking.

I just had inadequate sleep this week.

I’m in my early 70’s and feeling like I lost a few MPH’s off my fastball.
Passed all the tests in my doctors office and had an MRI which was normal.
Just an age thing I guess.
I’m watching my fridge for car keys 😀…..

I am 78 and I occasionally get these events. Nothing major but I want to hit myself "up along side of the head" to get the gyros back in position. I always say I am glad I have a driver's license because it has my address on it. Now where did I put my wallet?

Reminds me of junior high school (middle school nowadays) and going up to my padlocked locker, blank mind what the combination numbers are, and just doing it by muscle memory. Scary.

I'm at the stage now, everytime I leave to go somewhere: "wallet, phone, glasses.........brain". Check, o.k. to proceed.

I did that once (before coffee). It happens, starting after 65 or so.

My weakness has always been nouns, proper nouns (names to be exact). I have always been like that (No excuse!) But as I age, I can picture the place or person or dog or whatever but the name of the thing..........well I know what IT is, but Snohomish, Bob, Charlie, etc just takes some............rooting around. Sucks. There are things, exercise, supplements, teas that help
