What is a safe torque value for an M6 SS nut? I have seen 50 inch pounds to 114 inch pounds. I was hoping 84 inch pounds is OK. That's what the other fasteners are torqued to. This is on a stud with Red loctite. I don't want it to come loose..ever for a project.
Thanks.

The package from Home. I can get 304 SS, if that is stronger.

Is this something you could do a test run on with some spare fasteners? 7 ft lbs sounds about right. Is the stud stainless as well? If so, they could gall, but the loctite should help with that.

Yes, the stud is stainless as well. Actually making a stud with a head on it to thread into a transmission pan then put the push on wiring harness on the remaining threads of the stud. PPE pan swapping a 2020 F250. The new bolts don't have a studded end to reattach the wiring harness on the drive side rear pan.
Edit: I think the factory long stud and washer will fit flush on the new pan. I'll just use that.

I heard that some of the stainless steel was weak and was nervous, but it all worked out.
