I'm posting this mostly for the surprising number 1 tool of 2025 at the end.

I agree with their thinking that cordless tools are no longer new technology, and most prices are artificially inflated.

I hope Hyper Tough makes all the big names nervous. Sadly, I predict the HT has now been outed as being "too good" for that space. Pricing may climb, but that doesn't really fit WM's model, so more likely is that a vastly inferior impact takes its place at the same price.

I wouldn’t put it past Walmart to do that.

HF has what, 3-4 “brands” of the same tool? HD has at least two store brands plus all the majors…

At minimum they’ll start taking quality out of some stuff vs consistency from a brand like Makita.
