Oil Filter Wrenches Tested by Torque Test Channel

For Chevy LS engines an end cap with a 3/8 drive extension and ratchet works well. The graphite cap I use fits like a glove on a Fram 10060 or equivalent filter. On LS engines the aluminum oil pan is recessed for the filter, making conventional lever type wrenches difficult to fit.

Here are shots of an end cap by Flo-Tool that fits a GM PF48 perfectly. Will also fit a Fram 10060 with the anti-slip coating. Funny that those filters were not actually mentioned on this 10 year old label. It was sold by Hopkins on Amazon, but Hopkins is part of the First Brands bankruptcy IIRC.

My favorite oil filter tool is my hands, maybe with rubber gloves. It's nice when they work.
They remind me to avoid overtightening the new filter. So do the crazy tight filters....
