Definitely a 4 just without the foam. I could never use foam in a toolbox. I’m a very organized person when it comes to my tools and toolbox. Nothing I hate more than a disorganized toolbox trying to find something you need. I will know if you move something a centimeter in my box.

My shop is somewhere between a zero and a 1 simply because the shop is too small for our needs. For 2 of us we have 2 double back boxes top and bottom as well as a single bank each. The back wall of the shop is 3 shelves running almost the full width of the shop of cases for specialty tools. Hell, theres an AC machine and a welder in my office because I dont have a better place for them.

0 or 1.. for my house.. mainly because I dont keep plumbing tools with car tools or power tools.
automotive sockets such as lugnut are in the garage with torque wrenches.
Tiny sockets I use to assemble are in the basement on a shelf.

I know where 95% of the stuff is.. so 0 or 1.

If I had as few tools as automechanic I'd be a 4 for sure.

At home it’s a solid 3. In the race trailer it’s more 1-2.

A solid 3. Have 2 multi stacks and two carts, full. I made money using them. Knowing where to find each tool when needed was one key to happy wrenching. Buying only the tools needed was another.

Depends which drawer. Some are solid 3, others are 2. My pegboard and French cleat walls are a 3

Between Zero & 3....Depends on the Toolbox & drawer. I have too much stuff to organize it all.....So I compartmentalize, Chaos in one of my main boxes & try to stay organized as possible in the other.

Same. I’m a 2.5, my wife would say my tool setup is a 0 most of the time, lol… when I start working, stuff gets all over, and the time to put it all back never arrives…

For small, infrequently used items that have a chance of being transported somewhere, I have yet to find a better solution.

I'm somewhere between 2 and 3 except 3-4 for sockets.

I don't label my drawers, know where everything is so don't need to except for those once-every-couple-years-use tools, and there are too many of those to put on a label.

I like my blow molded cased ratchet and socket set. It's not my only set, have some in drawers too but it's very convenient to take to the work, especially if not in the garage or basement workshop where the rest of the tools are.

Organization while doing a job is another matter... looks like a tool bomb went off, besides having some items on a cart.
