I drove the Tesla Y Performance, really wanted to go that route as I am an Elon Musk fan. Tesla’s are super popular, and for good reason, but I wanted something a bit different and with a nicer interior. I have had several BMWs in the past, so I’m familiar with the idrive, so went this route.

I’m still getting used to the one pedal driving.

I'm a sucker for red interior. Looks great. I just got my Model Y Performance at the beginning of this month. If you don't mind me asking, what was the price difference?

i4 M50, correct?

It was significant price difference, but I got a good deal on the BMW. 11% off msrp as it’s a ‘24. Plus the 7.5k both qualify for. Yes, M50. Msrp was 77k and change, it’s loaded pretty well. You got a fantastic car btw.

For those that like red... I can't tolerate any shade of red regardless of the application.

Nice and smart move. Your BMW is going to be much easier to repair years from now vs anything Tesla. Curious as to if your insurance on the new BMW is similarly priced compared to other vehicles that you own? I've read that some ev's have higher insurance premiums vs their gas counterparts.

I’m automatically covered for 30 days, I was going to call them today and make it official. I’ll try to remember to follow up with the info here.

Looks great plus parts are probably fairly easy to obtain in case of a fender bender.

Thanks. Ya, they borrowed a lot from the 4 series grand coupe. It’s been around for a few years. There are some cost cutting measures, as this car carries over the console and transmission hump from the ice version (it needs neither).

Congrats, that is a nice looking car, love the red interior!

Ty sir, I like a contrast from the outside. I have not purchased a black interior for years. Nothing wrong with it, however.

I'm no EV fan, but that is one nice looking car. Drive it in good health!!

I totally get it. They have no soul, and they are only going to get worse in this regard. Modern EVs are still like Model Ts of the ice world. They do haul ass, effortless launches, and have a ton of creature comforts.

This one’s for you bud, old school cool. Pontiac 462 under the hood.
