Took delivery of my first EV

@slo town

I’ll add this - it’s simply like driving a stick in a lower gear with the rpms up, as one would while deliciously carving corners. I found it rather intuitive when a friend put me at the wheel of his Tesla. It took a minute to change my reflex to lift quickly off the throttle to grab the other pedal - but once I began to recall that wasn’t necessary, I found it extremely effective at speed control for technical moves like matching speeds and gaps for rush-hour merge, etc.
That's a pretty good assessment really. You're 100% correct on the operation of the throttle. It's a quick learning experience, but it's a bit surprising the first time you let go of the pedal. I love regen for hills. There's one in town that was just enough to gain 4 mph coasting in the GTI that I would crest at 25mph to make sure I didn't go past 29mph in a 25 past the police station without having to use the brakes.

Now you killing me! I had to let go of my last collector car in 2019 due to health issues etc.... Pontiac has always been one of my favorite muscle car brands. Especially GTO/Lemans , early Venturas and their Trans Ams. That is one outstanding looking one.:love: I'd have it chained and locked up after having a couple of mine stolen over the years.

My 65 4-4-2 is a bone stock 97K survivor. Wifey's father bought it new. Shares a lotta parts with your beautiful Goat. Also a Fremont car...

Love classics!

My 72 Cheyenne, at the dump doing truck stuff. Love classics, but **** it’s nice to have something that doesn’t need gas all the time!

That model has always been , IMHO one of the General's best built trucks! My dad had one when I was in high school and first started driving. Couple of my brothers and I were always fighting over which one of us asked to use it first! LoL He finally gave it to me as I was the oldest. That one got donated to my youngest brothers the moment I got hands on my very first Chevelle.

I totally get it. They have no soul, and they are only going to get worse in this regard. Modern EVs are still like Model Ts of the ice world. They do haul ass, effortless launches, and have a ton of creature comforts.

This one’s for you bud, old school cool. Pontiac 462 under the hood.

Bad axe!
