A few weeks ago I told the story about the guy with the tractor that said I dont charge enough.
He sent his father to me. His father is 76 yrs old and still driving this truck. The AC compressor locked up on his peterbilt. I couldn't believe it when he said it lasted 904000 miles!
I removed the refrigerant charge last week so he could swap the compressor and reciever dryer. I really tried for the condenser but he didnt want to mess with that.
Flushed it and did not get any metal shavings out of it so thats good.
Pressure tested it with nitrogen and no leaks found. Added some ester oil ,Vacuum and charged it with 64oz of R134a and its ice cold again.
BTW 550hp cummins x15 with an 18 speed and he changes the oil and filter himself every 15000 miles with Delo15w40 and a fleet gard filter.
