The thing is, when I go get tire repair, I'm dropping off the wheel and leaving it for the day. Doesn't matter if it's Walmart of Mr. Tire, etc. They can get around to doing it if you can leave it for a day.
It seems like all automotive repair shops have stopped using plugs in favor of patches. Does anyone know why? I have a plug kit and have repaired several tires over the years myself.
I've been told in the past some tire standard/insurance people require both to be used to meet quality standards. Maybe it was fake news. But it's how shops have always repaired them for me.
