Repair Patch Leaking

There's a local bottom feeder used tire shop that is quite skilled at digging out bad patches and trying again. Common error is to grind too deep. I think the repair is to then use a larger patch.

Personally, if the rest of the set is high-tread I'd source a used tire (online, united tires has treated me right) that matches the set and move on with life. Most of the online used tire purveyors are responsive when it comes to inquiries about age and any pre-existing repairs in the tire before you buy.

EDIT - I see you replaced the tire. That's probably the least headache/safest way to solve the issue.
