Sorry to start another tire post. Looking for a tire inflator that uses cig lighter/12v port in automobile. Should have long enough hose and gauge

I have a Slime branded one that not only has a gauge, it stops at a preset PSI that you set.

I also have a Slime. It works well for the half-dozen or so times I use it per year.

The best 12V inflators have alligator clips you attach to your battery. The very good ones are often used by off roaders that deflate and reflate when going back on the road. Viair is well respected in the off-road community and they have a few cigarette plug models under $100.

looks like the same thing as that yellow Cyclone air compressor. I have the Cyclone, and it is a very good one

I have a GenSun. Works well. Has the 12v or AC option.

I have the Slime inflator as mentioned in another post. However, the gauge seems a little off. I use the Slime Sport digital gauge which I've had for years. I have one for each vehicle. I've tested them against each other and always get the same results.

Careful, some of the Slime inflators come with a screw on chuck.

What are your requirements? A cordless is much handier. If you are out and about and need air is not too hard to find a gas station with free air.

Automatic cordless would be my favorite.

I'd much rather have a cig lighter type for dependability . If you forget to charge the battery on the cordless .....your out of luck

Be able to plug into cig lighter, able to air up or down tires. Must have a gauge also and long enough line to reach all 4 tires

There is a limit to how much power one can pull from a cig lighter. The ones that can plug into a cig lighter are pretty weak.

I had one of the Slime branded ones for years. Air up lots of footballs, basketballs and topped up trailer tires as needed.

Broke an internal pot metal piece on the compressor. For my intended usage I’d buy one again though.

the best cordless ones are also jump boxes. If they have enough power to jump a car, then they should be able to inflate a tire with no problem
