Tire balance bead experiment - do they work?

I wonder if you supplemented the plastic beads with lead shot, if that would work? It would require less because it would be heavier.

I wonder if you supplemented the plastic beads with lead shot, if that would work? It would require less because it would be heavier.

If I put in fewer pieces of lead, but the same weight, then I don't see how it would affect the problem of the weight shifting to the outside of turns.
