While true I'm not sure it matters on this truck. You can't drive it on bare pavement in the first place in 4HI; using dissimilar tread just makes it doubly less doable.

i just won't now or ever trust used tires. just me. i would look at master craft. i am betting you buy 4 new master craft tires for the price your looking at paying.

I have purchased tires from a place called Treadwright that are remolded onto a used carcass. No issues at all for past 4 years. I got them for $90 each delivered to my door. Another $60 to install and I have the aggressive mud terrain. Great for off roading. A little noisy on road but bearable. Wife prefer the street tires we had General Grabbers as she doesn't off road or take to the rugged driving like I occasionally do.

Always put the tires with the greatest traction on the rear axle. No exceptions.

In this case it means used tires to the front axle, new to the rear.

Have you done an Internet search at looked at some of the "off-brand" imported tires? They will come in around $100.00/piece or less. For an low millage driver they are fine. Regardless of the bashers on here btw......

I'd only buy used tires as a spare, or in an emergency (like you have to pass inspection and your paycheck doesn't come in time).

Used tires have no warranty, and you don't know how they were driven.

Can you wait a few weeks? DTD will have their memorial day sale coming up, and there will be very good deals to be had.
