The solution in the bottle should have at least 30% PEA to make it effective. Don't bother with that Shell V Power version it is too weak to make a difference. Try Gumout Regane Total Fuel System cleaner. It has 40% PEA and is usually priced affordably and easily available.

I use Regane occasionally because I know that it has the highest %age of PEA. To tell the truth, I never noticed any improvement in performance. MMO, on the other hand gives the engine noticable pep.

I'd be a lot better off if I could stop thinking that Regane will regrow hair on your head. . . .

For keeping the injectors clean I just fill up on the mobil super+ gas. Its more expensive but if I run one tank a quarter, everything seems to stay good in the fuel area.

I would agree that the throttle body should be cleaned by hand with some carb cleaner. It seems to build up a gooy type film that needs to be manually wiped off even after disolving with carb cleaner.

Techron, Regane or Redline SI1 are the best out there. I use them every 20k and then remove the TB at 100k and give it a complete cleaning.

I went to Autozone today to get Techron...Could not find it even though the idiot behind the counter said it was there...Turns out they were out of it...A Napa store just opened up nearby so will check over there.
