My tube of aluminum is on it's last squeeze, so my next purchase is going to be the nickel. Costs a good bit more, but the heat rating on it is worth the extra cost.

It's not my logic, it is industry practice.

You are right, but for the wrong reason. Copper (not bronze) is better because of its heat characteristics, not because it is a dissimilar metal.
