12 miles. But it's two different countries, not states in the same country. Which were actually at war for a bit. Even though in theory it was the Bosnian Croats which were at war, not the Croatian state. But well. Long story.

Nearly walked into this big momma today, the web was about 5ft wide and over 8ft high. Quality is low because I used an inspection camera to get close, even though they’re not venomous I didn’t really feel like having it drop onto my face. Golden orb-weaver.
