I was kidding. But the wife says only old guys wear white shoes now. So then I see my 20 something nephew. Yep. White tennis shoes are back!

I wear black on the court, black/gray/brown walking around. I got a nice pair of walkers for the Italy trip. They did so well I bought a second pair. Odd company called FitVille.
When I was in my early 20’s I wore Rockport. At the time, they said those shoes were for 60 year olds! Now that I’m almost there, I am looking to see what 100 yo’s wear!

I was going to make a joke about your walker but I decided it would be too mean.

Besides, I think it's an international law that Americans abroad have to wear easily identifiable footwear.

"There goes that American in those ugly American shoes."
Wife said no one wears shorts in Italy. Bring fancy pants. I did wear pants to couple restaurants but tons of Italo dudes in shorts. They be rockin' 'mercan style shorts.

I was all good I could order coffee with confidence. Was awesome.

Is the stereotype true that the French are rude to Americans?
Kinda sorta. I never had any men be rude to me, but oddly a couple women just cut into me. My wife speaks a little French, me almost none (just food and courtesy words). I think these ladies somehow didn't like me relying on the wife to communicate, not sure(??)

But like anywhere, country people more nice than city people.

Well thanks, won't need to edit that post now. Anyone cracks the joke would be obviously copying you. Safe now. But yeah, walking shoes = pair of walkers. I have a silver plated and gold plated walker for the fancy dates.
If I'm being honest, I shouldn't be making "old" jokes. Not with my ankle tendonitis and my extra dad-like dad bod.

I saw this robotic coffee maker the other day.

I was not in any of the large cities such as Paris. Most of my time was in rural areas. Everyone that I encountered was polite and never showed an attitude to me. I think the problem lies in many American tourists who are rude and that has made a negative impression on many in the tourist areas.

I was always received with a warm smile.
