Well, after 7 years I made my last rounds, completed my last few jobs, and hung up my keys for the last time
I start a different position Monday
Gonna miss you work issued Chevy Bolt

, you were the best work vehicle I ever had
A far superior vehicle to the '13 Focus and '14 Patriot I had prior
An excellent rolling office for 8-10 hours a day, 6 days a week
- Break downs, 0
- Caught on fire? Never
- QOL issues, little to none
- Rear ended by motorcycle? Not even once
It fit all the places the big Transit/Savana vans and Jeeps couldn't
Never ran out of electricity on the road, superb Heat/AC regardless of the weather
Handled deep water and ice/snow surprisingly well
Went all the way to the end of Queens
And all the way to the end of Brooklyn, two years and 11,000 miles of city abuse
Gonna miss it, and the work to an extent
But we all gotta move on eventually
I might consider test driving a '26 when they come out, maybe my first new car will be electric

It (like me) was always a bit of an odd one out, but people came around to it in time
I trained many dozens of new people, and even the old hands & non EV people learned to like it
On my last day, ~25 people were fighting for the keys, next senior man got it
This was the first "real job" I ever had, 7 long years I wandered the streets knocking on doors and fumbled through dark basements
You try to enjoy the good days, and hope they make up for the bad ones
