I wonder if it's the clips that the pads sit in, that go into the bracket. The piston retracted easily, my past experience has been piston frozen, or worse, hose deteriorating and caliper won't release and drags (hope not). The scraper would touch the rotor when pedal pressed, and stop scraping when released....
