The Shackelton crew made it all out alive. The dogs didn't make it. The Franklin Expedition turned into an unsavory tale of survival involving cannibalism.
I attended Sir John Franklin school here for Grades 1 through 3. In the 1980s the school was shuttered due to changing demographics, and demolished.

I think it had been built in the 1930s, when less was known about the ill-fated expedition.

Yup and the back story is someone else apparently road off with the fame.
Wow. I just noticed she looks like she has a black eye.
These people were very brave as some younger folks here may not think that back then if you screw yourself up real bad there wasn't much help for you. Same with the football players etc..

Which engine?

So, while I might’ve hoped for a 348, that 235 six might be perfect for @AutoMechanic ! 😎

Interesting Jimmy I know where that is lol. I miss the Roanoke Auto Auction now it’s just sales no auction except to dealers. Beautiful car. If I had 13 grand I’d buy it. I’d look cool rolling up to work in that. Is this automatic or manual I wonder? I prefer manual for a classic but would take automatic. We need another car now that one of the Camrys appears to be done for.

How many people sharing the 7 remaining cars?
Most of those are projects haha. Got the computer pulled out of the van but my dad doesn’t have the money for a new one right now. I do but got to get what I saved up for first. Once we get the computer in and the wheel cylinders in and rear brake’s replaced that the wheel cylinders leaked on and get the front window to go down it should be ready to go and pass inspection. I’ll be renewing the tags on it next month as it’s technically my vehicle. Rest are out of commission for quite awhile. Jeep needs an engine and no way I’m paying for that, Beetle is just a classic and couldn’t be driven all the time, my 94 Camry he is welcome to drive but won’t due to no reverse and expired inspection. He can use my truck but I’m getting really annoyed with that he messes everything up the seat cover, radio, whatever and drives it places he is not supposed to. So him and mom have been sharing unless he has to go to work. Nobody can share with me cause I work 30 miles away so it would make them late.
