Got me a new pair of work boots today. I typically get 3 years out of a set so we will see how long these last. Got them for $189.99 out the door with tax and everything. That hurt but I needed new ones mine were so worn out. Next paycheck I’m getting a new pair of shoes I need some just didn’t find any I liked at this shoe store so going to try a different shoe store on payday. My size 12 must be common as that’s the size they seemed to be out of in everything haha. Yes these are steel toe of course because I’m a mechanic.

Choosing paint colors for the rehab. My brother is using Benjamin Moore Ultra Spec 500. Low sheen eggshell. They make an eggshell in this paint along with the low sheen version. The low sheen version makes colors pop but the walls can still be cleaned in my experience using Krud Cutter and a sponge.

Love love LOVE my Carolina’s, though I got the Uber expensive made in the USA ones. Worth every penny though, I’ve got flat feet and bad ankles, these are about the only ones that don’t make me want to chainsaw my ankles off after a 12 hour shift.

Canyon Inn
McCormick's Creek State Park
Spencer, Indiana.

McCormick's Creek was Indiana's first State Park, established in 1916, on the 100 year anniversary of Indiana being granted statehood.
The Canyon Inn was also opened in 1916. It had been built years earlier as a retreat for the wealthy. It is one of my favorite weekend getaways.

The park's grounds were gifted to the state by Richard Lieber, a wealthy German-American businessman from Indianapolis, who had purchased it at auction for $5.250, with the intent of it being Indiana's first State Park.

Half of the park was shredded by an F3 tornado late on the evening of March 31, 2023, but the Inn was spared. Two people were killed in the campground. The campground and many of the hiking trails remain closed due to the extent of the damage, but are expected to re-open next Spring.

No idea what the point of these photos is. Looks like stream of consciousness by photo. What’s the value of showing random chairs and streets?
Trip to Pittsburgh... sharing the trip.. they are random... the hotel is/was nice.. streets are hilly.. as in pics.. ?

Headed back

What model are yours? Glad to hear there are still some USA made boots out there.
