A department manager at my company in the 1980s looked at least as big as Mr. Calhoun.

These wrestlers were no doubt much fitter, similar to sumo wrestlers.

I was running home from work after my shift one afternoon and the boss, assuming I was doing so involuntarily, pulled over to offer me a ride. I thought it would impolite to refuse, so rode with him up to the next major intersection.

He had a full-sized Pontiac Parisienne (c. 1980) and had the seat pushed as far back as it would go, to accommodate his belly. His arms barely reached the steering wheel, which was glazed on the bottom from rubbing on his shirt.

Nice guy, and lived into his late 60s, which no one would have predicted.

There was a guy from Hollister, CA that was so huge, he pretty much filled up the entire rear window of a big window Chevy pickup.
