Last year I didn't see a bunch either and I usually have many.
There's a cat bylaw here that requires that cats be kept indoors. They do take a terrible toll on wildlife, especially birds. Indoor cats tend to be healthier and live longer, so it's win-win.We had a resident rabbit living under our shed, we called him “Frank”. He was around for about two years, but for the last several months we noticed that one of Frank’s back legs was broken. It stuck straight out sideways, but Frank still got around the yard okay, he could still get up in the whiskey barrels to nibble at the new growth on the plants in them. We could go outside and Frank wouldn’t even run away, I guess he realized that we weren’t a threat as we never actually walked toward him and went about our business as if he wasn’t there. My Grandson loved seeing him, he would hop across the back patio often and stop in front of the sliding doors.
I’ve spotted a cat in the yard from time to time in the past few weeks, coincidentally, I haven’t seen Frank in the same amount of time. I would like to think ol’ Frank died naturally as wild rabbits don’t have a long life span, but I fear the cat may have done him in. This is one reason that I’m not a fan of cats, I would rather have all of the other wildlife hanging out.
it is a rubber; I like it’s colors and durability, it lasts easily 5 years; also i have that weed protecting film underneath it it just sits there not requiring any maintenance; super happy with its resultsIs that rubber mulch?

Of course now we're overrun with rabbits and squirrels.
