Looks like a typical 0w40. What approvals does it have?

Nulon Full Synthetic 0W-40 High Performance Engine Oil is designed to provide the ultimate protection for European, US and Japanese high performance and prestige engines requiring 0W-40 grade engine oil. Group IV Poly-Alpha-Olefin (PAO) and Ester base stocks coupled with high-performance additives create the ultimate oil for modern high-performance engines.
This high-performance engine oil is recommended for use in single and twin-turbocharged, super-charged and naturally aspirated high-performance engines. It provides superior resistance to sludge formation and viscosity change. PAO/ester base stocks with high shear stable polymers form the basis of this technically advanced engine oil.
Nulon Full Synthetic 0W-40 High Performance Engine Oil has added Molybdenum Dithiocarbamate (Moly DTC) to give you additional peace of mind performance. Moly DTC is proven to dramatically reduce friction and provide increased engine wear protection from cold start to extreme temperatures, giving you additional benefits over standard engine oil additives alone.

Benefits

  • Formulated with full synthetic Group IV PAO and ester base stocks
  • Maintains high shear stability under extreme conditions
  • Fast flowing, full synthetic low viscosity formula
  • Nulon Full Synthetic 0W-40 High Performance Engine Oil has added Molybdenum Dithiocarbamate (Moly DTC) to give you additional peace of mind performance
  • High thermal stability and oxidation control reduces sludge and deposit formation
  • Oil stays in-spec during long oil drain intervals
  • Excellent detergent and dispersant technology ensures engine cleanliness
  • High-shear polymers ensure excellent viscosity control at high loads & high temperatures
  • NOTE: NOT recommended for diesels fitted with exhaust catalysts and diesel particulate filters (DPF).

Alot of sulfated ash for my taste. I'm not impressed by its viscosity at 40 Celsius. I'd just assume to use a C3 5w-30.

All the approvals are fabrications as far as I can tell and it isn't API licensed nor is that an SAE grade designation. Another case of pretty severe obfuscation by a blender.
Ya. It looks like this company is self-certifying as they didn't explicitly say it has the "following approvals" only that it "meets or exceeds".

The oil is not on the 229.5 list and as others have mentioned 0w-30/40 oils are unable to meet the most current (2018) BMW LL01 specification.

Doubt it's bad oil but i don't see it being an option to consider over the euro oils you can get off the shelf at walmart for less and probably better quality.

.
Pretty low (poor) flash point, no approvals, unknown pour point and Noack (probably highish).
If being an option depends on application, price and personal preferences (because Australian).

Yep its an Australian oil. Nulon (owned by Fuchs) do all the ordinary stuff with approvals but dabble in some motorsport type oils as well including their racing oil. They developed this 0w40 with pao/ester because some people couldn't be convinced that their racing oil pao/an was the bees knees and wanted an ester blend.
