I really like the looks of the MDX and the fact that it's a 6 cyl . Any experiences ?

New or used? Assuming you are looking at the 2025 (not the Type-S) the 3.5 J35 is rock solid, and the Honda 10 speed seems to be fairing well over-all but I'm not as familiar with it as opposed to the H6 and ZF9 that they used in previous generations.

I agree that it's definitely a looker. I wish the interior had less piano black surfaces to goop up but so goes most modern vehicles. The biggest gripe that people had when the current generation was released was the track pad required for the infotainment, which has since been removed.

I'll also add, consider comparing it to the Pilot Elite.

We seriously considered one when deciding to get rid of the Audi Q5. The MDX is a wonderful vehicle and has all the bells and whistles, but we were making a conscious decision to get away from as many bells and whistles as reasonably possible, so bought the Pilot Elite. No regrets. Or as some tattoo "artists" have been known to spell... No Regerts.

We had a gen1. It was a hoot. Heavy little porker. Tepid AWD but perfectly capable in snow. noisy on the highway. Later versions became for more luxury oriented as less suv-street-fighter oriented. I’ve seldom heard complaints. Some years had oil consumption issues and warranties.

While it is less of a concern with the current iteration of the J35 engine, do some research on Honda's VCM cylinder deactivation system before making a commitment. There are several past BITOG posts concerning the long-term problems with not muzzling the earlier generation J35 VCMs.

Small sample size, but my parents had two fourth gen MDX's and both had recurring AC problems that were never resolved. Even with 3 different dealers and Acura corporate involved, they couldn't fix the issue.

My sister has a 2022 Acura MDX and it's been a reliable, comfortable SUV with enough space for 3 kids . Nice balance of features, not that flashy, but solid overall.

I was considering it myself, but for now I’m still sticking with my CX-9. Just checked the prices, and they seem reasonable, search for Acura MDX 2022+ - I’d only consider the 4th generation.
